The whiskers represent the lowest datum still within 1.5 interquartile range (IQR) of the lower quartile and the highest datum still within 1.5 IQR of the upper quartile. Outliers are shown with open circles. The value ‘0’ represents the geometric mean abundance; thus, values above 0 are more abundant and values less than 0 are less abundant than the geometric mean. Significant differences were observed between the two groups for all taxa graphed (Mann-Whitney U test P < 0.05, FDR <0.1).
