  1. Eight hundred ten ASVs present in at least five samples were evaluated by the prevalence method as implemented in the isNotContaminant function. The six ASVs classified as non-contaminants using an FDR threshold of 0.5 [56] are shown. Taxonomy was assigned by BLAST-ing sequences against the nt database. Prevalence is reported for each sample type included in the study
